Hocus pocus and photo trickery at museum lecture

Art forms, artists and magic will be the focus of a fascinating talk based around visual deception, taking place at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford. This interactive and engaging talk entitled ‘Now you see it, now you don’t: The art of visual deception’ will take place on Monday 15 February in the museum’s lecture theatre, with seating for up to 200 guests.

February half term frolics in Shakespeare's England!

Celebrate the spring half term from 15 – 21 February in Shakespeare’s England with a host of exciting activities. Sing songs inspired by Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, head to Kenilworth Castle for their Knights & Princesses Academy, design a piece of automata for the MAD Museum or visit the new British Motor Museum to build a British car. Shakespeare’s England is the place to visit this half term to keep the kids entertained!

The British Motor Museum re-opens to the public on Saturday 13 February following a £1.1m refurbishment.

Formerly known as the Heritage Motor Centre, the new Museum will be visually more exciting with an immersive display of British motoring history, designed to appeal to both current fans as well as new audiences. Also opening on the 13 February is the new Collections Centre, allowing public access for the first time to an extra 250 cars from the reserve collections of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and the Jaguar Heritage Trust.
