Chedham’s Yard appoints new Heritage Project Officer

‘Chedham’s Yard’, the BBC Restoration winning site in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire has appointed Deborah Hext as Heritage Project Officer for the next 12 months. Deborah has worked in the heritage industry for 6 years in a variety of roles for the National Trust at Snowshill Manor, Chastleton House, Chedworth Roman Villa and Upton House. In 2011 she relocated to Devon to work for the National Trust at Buckland Abbey, Garden & Estate as ‘Visitor Services Officer’ overseeing the events & education programme and increasing visitor engagement. In 2012 she was promoted to ‘Visitor Experience Manager’ and was responsible for increasing their offer for schools through the introduction of a Forest School as well as improving the overall visitor experience.

Come dressed up and join the Hatter at his Mad Tea Party at Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: Blists Hill Victorian Town: 24th – 26th August

Come dressed as Alice in Wonderland or another character from the much-loved book and go along to Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Ironbridge, which will be hosting a themed event over the summer bank holiday weekend of 24th – 26th August based on the Victorian novel by Lewis Carroll. The book tells the story of seven-and-half-year-old Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world.
