Heart of England Regional Tourism Awards 2014 Announced

Visit Heart of England has announced that they will be co-ordinating the regional Heart of England Excellence Awards in association with national tourism body, VisitEngland and with the Heart of England Attractions – an association of the region’s top 16 leading attractions.

The Heart of England Excellence Awards 2014 will profile the crème de la crème of the region’s tourism industry in a range of categories at a glittering Awards ceremony, and importantly is recognised by VisitEngland as the official route for all regional entries to the prestigious VisitEngland national Awards for Excellence in 2015. Peter Suddock, Chairman of the 16-strong leading regional Heart of England Attractions group, and who will chair the regional finalists judging panel, commented, “The Heart of England Excellence Awards 2014 are an ideal vehicle to promote the strong, quality tourism product of the West Midlands, and I, on behalf of the Heart of England Attractions, wholeheartedly support their long-overdue return to the region. “I know that the tourism industry in the region is among the best in the country, and I look forward to seeing the entries, assessing the applications, and to the Awards ceremony, I am quietly confident that we will see our regional winners doing extremely well in the national VisitEngland ‘Awards for Excellence’!”

Andrew Haddow at Visit Heart of England said, “We are delighted to be working both with VisitEngland, our national tourist board, and with the Heart of England Attractions Group to bring back this very important event to the region. “With this announcement, we are delighted that we will once again have an excellent platform to showcase the very best of the region’s tourism industry in a range of categories.”

The Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards are a great opportunity for businesses and organisations to be recognised and rewarded on a regional and potentially national basis for providing excellence.
