Roman Alcester
This stylish and inspirational museum traces the arrival of the Romans in Alcester and their continuing influence on the town. Household objects, coins and jewellery found by members of the public and excavated by archaeologists, sit alongside a reconstruction of an archaeological dig. Audio visual presentations help bring the past to life and the museum combines contemporary display with interactivity to place artefacts into their Roman context.
- Witness the growth of Roman Alcester from military settlement to thriving market town
- Use the valuable educational resource for key stage two studies
- Go back in time - try on Roman tunics and togas
