Located on the former Pooley Hall Colliery site, the heritage centre provides an insight into mining history and sustainable energy generation. Education centre and nature/heritage trails acknowledging the legacy of the mining industry which began operating around 1846. Other facilities include a cafe area with canal side patio, children's play area, and three way-marked walks. Disabled access with wheelchair lift to first floor.
