Forty minute cruises along the glorious River Avon on a fleet of traditional passenger boats. Passing by the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Holy Trinity Church, burial site of William Shakespeare. The trip then winds its way upstream into the countryside once we have passed under Clopton Bridge. Regular departures from the Bancroft Gardens adjacent to the theatre.

Ticket paid for on board £5.50 per Adult, £4.00 per Concessions and £3.50 per child. New family ticket available for £16.50 (2 Adults and up to 3 Children)

Private charter and extended cruises, Special Packages and Riverside Functions also available for groups.

Rowing boat, punts and canoes available to hire from our Boathouse on Swan's Nest Lane, charged at £5.00 per Adult and £3.00 per Child for up to an hour. Self-drive motor boats by the hour for £30 and half hour for £20 (maximum of 5 passengers). A Deposit is required for the duration of your hire.

Private charter of an actual Venetian Gondola with Gondolier is also available by prior booking

Directions

By Road

From Stratford town centre, cross over the road towards the river and go along Waterside. Avon Boating Ltd runs boat trips on the river frontage on your left-hand side just before the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Our Boathouse on Swan's Nest Lane is on the otherside of the river from the town centre, simply walk over the red bricked Tramway Bridge from the Bancroft Gardens.

By Public Transport

Our Boathouse is on Swan's Nest Lane which can be found on the South side of the River from the Town Centre. Easy access from A422 Banbury Road, A3400 Shipston Road and B4086 Tiddington Road.

From M40 Motorway leave Junction 15 and head along A46 bypass. Enter Stratford-upon-Avon via A439 Warwick Road or A3400 Birmingham Road. Travel around the one way Bridgefoot system that passes by the Leisure Centre and Holiday Inn Hotel travelling towards Banbury Road A422 and Shipston Road A3400. As you pass over the Clopton Bridge our Boathouse is on your righthand side.
