Thinktank, Birmingham's award winning science museum, offers an enlightening and fun packed day out for the family. From steam engines and talking robots through to gurgling guts and a chocolate wrapping machine, Thinktank has over 200 hands-on displays on science and technology.
Housed inside the impressive Millennium Pont building at Thinktank you will find four floors of hands-on exhibits and historical collections that will amaze and inspire you, showing you the science of the world all around us.
Combining science and entertainment in spectacular fashion there's something at Thinktank for everyone, including Birmingham's very own digital planetarium and the outdoor Science Garden. Using state-of-the-art digital technology to present breathtaking images onto a 360° domed ceiling, the planetarium at Thinktank places the audience right in the centre of the action - a totally immersive science experience.
With a vibrant daily programme of entertaining shows, astronomy classes, activities and lectures, we will take you on an inspiring exploration of the night sky, our galaxy and beyond.
Discover Birmingham's Spitfire story. Now Open -- The new gallery tells the story of the Spitfire, from its innovative design and cutting-edge technology that played a key role in the Second World War, to its lasting legacy on the city of Birmingham. Explore how the Spitfire was built and learn about the science behind how aircraft fly. Birmingham's Castle Bromwich factory produced over 10,000 Spitfires including the example on display at Thinktank. Discover the story of the mean and women who brought these iconic and much loved machines to life.

Nearest major road is M6. Millennium Point is located three miles from Jct 6 off the M6, 9 miles from Junction 3 off the M5 and 11 miles from Junction 6 of the M42, and is sign-posted from these junctions.

Nearest station is Birmingham Moor Street. Take Carrs Lane at the left of Marks and Spencer and cross to Moor Street Station at the pedestrian crossing. Turn left along Moor Street Queensway and then right at Island House. Follow the walkway down, bearing left at the bottom.
