Guided walking tour around historic Stratford upon Avon every day of the year with local, professional guides. Explore Stratford, its history, attractions, and fascinating relationship with William Shakespeare. Lively, informative, interesting and entertaining. "a must do". "best £5 spent in England!!"

As you walk in Shakespeare's footsteps through the historic town, see the Shakespeare Houses, Royal Shakespeare Theatres, River Avon, 15th century timber framed buildings, Shakespeare's School, Guild Chapel (free entry) and much more. The guided walking tour includes a visit to Holy Trinity Church to see Shakespeare's grave in the Chancel (small fee payable to the Church on the day). The Chancel visit is optional and subject to church opening times.

Guides tell fascinating stories of fire, flood, plague, medieval cures, old fashioned sayings and history of the town, all wrapped up with a little Shakespeare. Discover favourite tea houses, pubs, shops and restaurants. Don't forget your camera!

Meet by the swan fountain on Waterside, near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and opposite the fish & chip shop on the corner of Sheep Street. No need to book (unless a group of 10+), just turn up, whatever the weather!

The walk is wheelchair friendly. Dogs are welcome. Duration approx. 2hrs.

Adult £6, over 65 & student £5, child £3 Under 9yrs FREE!

Each person is given a ticket with 5 tear-off vouchers. There is no use-by date on the vouchers and they can be used to obtain discounts in Stratford at selected shops, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and attractions - example: the Butterfly Farm, MAD museum, Bancroft Cruisers 45 minute river cruise, 30% off entry to the Shakespeare Houses, and more.

Stratford Town Walk Guides are available for private walks, group walks, and to join coach parties for panoramic tours of Stratford the Cotswolds or Oxford. Stops for refreshments, visiting attractions or shopping can be arranged. Please telephone to discuss your requirements.

By Road

Walk from the bottom of Bridge Street, along Waterside towards the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, keeping the gardens and canal basin to your left. The guided walks start opposite Barnaby's fish & chip shop at the junction of Sheep Street, by the Swan fountain (2 silver swans on the top)

By Public Transport

Stratford upon Avon train station is a 10-15 minute walk from the walk meeting place.
