The Civic Hall offers a full programme of arts and entertainment events and shows throughout the year, and is also available to hire for a wide range of other activities.

This beautiful purpose built octagonal hall with its attractive Scandinavian pine ceiling is fully air conditioned and has first class lighting and sound facilities. It has tiered seating providing for 476 theatre style, and for 350 for dinner dances.

There is a comfortable lounge bar which is open for light snacks and lunches Monday to Saturday.

There is easy access to all parts of the building, and disabled people are well provided for.

From Stratford Tourist Information Centre turn right, cross the pedestrian crossing and proceed up Bridge Street. Take the second exit at the roundabout, into Wood Street. Turn left at the next traffic lights into Rother Street. The Civic Hall is on the right hand side.

It is Stratford-upon-Avon’s first ‘little theatre’ with an accessible one hundred seat auditorium and bar facilities; producing and hosting productions and events throughout the year. The Bear Pit is a voluntary organisation founded in 2008 with the purpose of bringing together the Visual and Performing Arts groups based in the town. The Bear Pit firmly believes that with all the groups working together, we can encourage the arts to flourish in this beautiful Warwickshire town.
