Length of session: 1 ½ hrs Dates: Sessions available all year round. Weekends, School holidays and after school.

Clothes: The party sessions are no-where near as mucky as you may at first think! However, the wearing of old clothes is advisable – best dress and party frocks to be avoided!

Food: Although we are unable to provide food, many of our customers like to bring a picnic. This can be consumed either on the pottery lawn or, as a wet weather alternative, in the studio (once the clay has been tidied away.) We allow ½ hr after the workshop session for picnics.

Finished work: The children's work will need to dry thoroughly before it can be fired. This takes between 2 - 4 weeks depending on drying conditions. We will contact you after this period to arrange a time for you to pick up the work from the Pottery.

Choose one of the four fantastic themed projects below:

Option 1: Terracotta night-lights. This popular project includes a go on the potter’s wheel. Make your very own T light lantern out of red clay. We then fire your masterpieces in the kiln for that classic terracotta finish. £20 per head – min no. participants 8, max 16.

Option 2: The owl and the pussycat. Make a fabulous terracotta boat on the potter’s wheel and then fill it with animals and artefacts from this favourite rhyme & song. £20 per head – min no. participants 8, max 16.

Option 3: Funky fruit. Hand build a fruit bowl and then fill it with a selection of wild & wacky cartoon fruits. You then get the chance to paint your creations with vivid ceramic colour. Leave them with us and we’ll fire and glaze them for you. £15 per head – min no. participants 10, max 20.

Option 4: Colourful critters. Model your favourite animal out of clay and then paint it there and then with coloured slips. We fire and glaze, the result, an amazing, shiny masterpiece. £15 per head – min no. participants 10, max 20.

Optional extra:

Collaborative commemorative pot. We throw a demonstration pot on the wheel and then all the party goer’s model something, (usually themed) to go onto the wet pot. It could be feathers on an owl pot or mini-beasts crawling all over a jug! £10.
