Gents are being given tips of a different kind ahead of the next stand-out raceday at Warwick Racecourse.

The racecourse is encouraging men to look their best for the Gentlemen’s Kingmaker Chase Day to have the chance of winning £500 to spend at independent menswear shop, Jacks of Warwick, and two tickets to Gold Cup Day at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.

Weston Park, the stately home on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border has a truly romantic Valentines in store for couples this year. On Saturday 14th February Head Chef Guy Day will serve a delicious 7-course tasting menu full of flavours to tantalise the taste buds with dishes including duck consommé, beetroot carpaccio with smoked trout pate, guinea fowl and asparagus and a trio of chocolate.

Half term fun for Airfix model makers

If you’re looking for something exciting to entertain the children this February Half Term, the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford is inviting families to participate in a fun model making activity. Taking place from Monday 16 to Friday 20 February, visitors will have the opportunity to build a First World War Airfix kit.

Me and my mum: a two-week old Lar gibbon is making good progress at Dudley Zoological Gardens. Born on January 16, the youngster is the offspring of mum, Meo and dad, Huggy and will not be named until staff discover its sex in a few weeks time.

Primates staff at DZG are delighted with the progress of a two-week-old Lar gibbon. The youngster was born on January 16 at the leading Midlands tourist attraction to mum, Meo and dad, Huggy who also have a two-year-old daughter, Penny.

Cadbury World's Snow White & the Chuckle Beans: 31st January & 1st February

Cadbury World is giving visitors another chance to enjoy its popular pantomime, as ‘Snow White and the Chuckle Beans’ returns to the attraction next weekend. The live performance is based on the classic children’s tale with a unique chocolatey twist, as Cadbury World’s own Chuckle Beans race to save Snow White from the Evil Queen. The enchanting story encourages laughter and audience participation; all the key ingredients for a show the whole family can enjoy.

The SVR needs your vote!

The Severn Valley Railway has been shortlisted as one of the UK’s top historic gems by the BBC’s Countryfile Magazine, and now needs your vote to be crowned the number one Heritage Site in Britain. The SVR is one of five famous UK tourist attractions shortlisted in the Heritage Site of the Year category of the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards 2014/15, which celebrate the best of the British countryside.

The hugely popular Stratford Festival of Motoring 2015 will accelerate into action in Stratford on Avon town centre on Sunday 3rd and on Bank Holiday Monday 4th May. This unique event is one of the few times in a year where the streets of Stratford are closed.
