Pulses are racing as Stratford Festival of Motoring accelerates into town!

Over 300 classic cars and high performance motors are entered into this free festival in Stratford Town Centre on May 3rd and 4th. The Sunday is a sell out for car entries but there are a few spaces left on the Monday. The Festival will reach from the theatre up to Rother Market. It includes cars entered by the public as well as invited vehicles from the Heritage Centre Gaydon, Coventry Transport Museum and the Auto Adrenalin Club.

A Celebration of May Day and Springtime: May Sat 2nd – Mon 4th

The sixteen restored Victorian gardens of Hill Close in Warwick will come alive with a celebration of May Day and springtime. This long weekend will offer a chance to re-live our folk traditions and heritage with displays of maypole dancing, folk music and the ancient tradition of well dressing. It is all set amongst the brick summerhouses, flower borders, vegetables, fruit trees and auricula theatres which make up Hill Close Gardens.

Intricate Working Meccano Models at Enginuity: 2nd – 4th May

An amazing display of working Meccano models created by Telford and Ironbridge Meccano Society (TIMS), Shropshire will be an extra bonus for anyone visiting Enginuity, one of the ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums, over the spring Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May.

Pirates and princesses is the fun theme of a family day

Pirates and princesses is the fun theme of a family day out at the races at Warwick on the first bank holiday of May. The fancy dress stakes will be high with young racegoers being encouraged to enter into the spirit of the day on Monday, May 4 by transforming themselves into their favourite pirate or princess character.
