Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust has won the top Gold Award in the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year category of the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2015. Intended for venues that welcome more than 50,000 visitors per annum, it was judged on the overall quality of the experience provided.

Guided Walking Tours of Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery offers year round walking tours of Shrewsbury from the Visitor Information Centre in the heart of the historic town. Tours run daily during the Summer, Tuesday to Sunday in October and on Saturdays during November to March. Tours depart at 2pm except on Sundays 11am.

Johnny White's 'Beastly Machines'

Fantastic creatures by kinetic sculptor Johnny White, fun for all the family! Johnny’s sculptures are influenced by current affairs, media-stories, plays on words and comic artists such as Gary Larson and Steve Bell. They are lovingly handmade in his workshop in Derbyshire, often using found or salvaged objects and junk.

We’re celebrating the pitter patter of penguin feet after nine rare Humboldt penguins were born at DZG.

DZG’s Head of Birds Kellie Piper said it was very exciting to have penguin babies, especially as it was early in the breeding season and we could expect more.
