Step into Christmas and onto an enchantingly nostalgic Sleigh Ride at Coventry Transport Museum!

21st November 2016

Santa Claus is indeed coming to town, and he’ll be arriving on Thursday 24 November at Coventry Transport Museum. The beloved ride housed for over 60 years at the city’s Co-op is now a festive fixture at the museum and a new generation of children can enjoy the magic and tradition of a visit to Santa on this extraordinary vintage ride. Visitors journey to Lapland on the magical mechanical ride, meet Santa and receive a special gift.

Tickets for children (including sleigh ride, meeting Santa and gift) are £5, with accompanying adults £1.50. Adult single tickets are £5 so everyone can join in the fun – just remember to empty the piggybank as the ride is cash only. Last year the ride in its new location was hugely popular so arrive early! Santa will for obvious reasons be heading off on Friday 23 December, but there’s plenty of chance to come and meet him with the ride open daily 10.00am – 4.30pm.

Santa’s arrival will herald a weekend of Christmas cheer at the museum including a two day Craft Fair on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 with the opportunity to buy gifts including locally made jewellery, toys, food and cards. Also on Sunday 27, festively decorated Camper Vans take over Millennium Place for the annual Christmas Campers event running from noon until 5pm.
