Family fun come rain or shine!

1st June 2017

A few days on from the hottest day of the year and the weather forecasters are predicting a wet one for the end of this half term. Despite the unpredictable British forecast, families can enjoy a memorable day out no matter the weather with Drayton Manor Park’s Rainy Day Guarantee.

Those who visit the Staffordshire based Park and Zoo during the month of June and experience continuous rain for two or more hours between 10am – 5pm, can return to the park free of charge for another day out in June or September 2017.* So if the rain won’t go away, just come back another day and treat the kids (and yourself) to a fantastic day out.

The family run attraction is home to Europe’s only Thomas Land™ which welcomed the arrival of a brand new ride James and the Red Balloon this season. Based on the beloved Thomas and Friends™ character James and his cheeky antics with a red hot air balloon, visitors to the park this summer can experience the magic of Sodor like never before as they fly up, up and away in their very own balloon no matter the weather!

The park’s 15-acre Zoo provides a sanctuary to many creatures including a mischievous mob of Meerkats. Here, rare and endangered species can thrive and breed safely, including newest additions Obie the baby Tapir, and Kit and Leo, twin baby Cotton-Top Tamarins. Visitors to the Zoo during half term week can enjoy a full timetable of activities including live animal talks and feeds, bug meets and sling shot feeds in the popular Spider Monkey enclosure all with the expert Zoo Keepers and Education Teams.

To book tickets, or for more information about the park, visit or call 0844 472 1950.
