Two of the UK’s top team building companies have joined forces with The Belfry to form a partnership to offer indoor and outdoor activities.

Team Spirit and Black Clover are sponsoring the transformation of a currently disused field near the driving range at the resort in Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield.

Oldham-based Team Spirit, who run around 400 events a year, will concentrate on conference energisers, motivational events, evening entertainment, fun days and themed evenings within The Belfry’s extensive range of suites.

Black Clover, who are situated near the resort in Whitacre Heath, Birmingham, will be organising large-scale outdoor team building and corporate events.

Sharon Jezeph, Head of Conference and Events at The Belfry, said the partnership would enable the venue to offer the widest variety of team building activities in the Midlands.

“This joint venture with experts in this specialist industry will enable The Belfry to provide the best possible team building activities,” she said.

“This will create exciting opportunities for our clients across the country whether they want to take part in the Ultimate Wipe Out, Boot Camp, a samba orchestra, The Gold Cup Challenge, Moviedrome or the Haka.

“Everything is geared towards ensuring delegates have a fun and memorable time whether it is a case of getting to know new colleagues or working together as a team.

“This link-up will enable The Belfry to act as a one-stop shop for organisers and we feel it will take indoor and outdoor activities to a higher level in the  Midlands.”

Mike Davis, Director of Black Clover, said turfing the 4,500 sqm field would allow the company to stage a range of exciting outdoor team building activities including the UK’s only land-based inflatable game Ultimate Wipeout.

He said: “I am familiar with The Belfry since I was the Leisure Club Manager at the resort until I left in 1989 to set up my own team building and events business.

“I enjoy coming back and whether it is a helicopter treasure hunt, It’s A Knockout or country pursuits, this is an ideal location.”

John McIlroy, Account Director at Team Spirit, said he was really excited about the link-up which he believes will benefit all parties.

“We really feel by working as a partnership we can offer clients the best team building activities whether it is a 40-minute conference energiser session or fun events lasting over several days,” he said.

“There is a wide range of activities to choose from to suit everyone’s tastes and budgets and we believe this will add another dimension to The Belfry’s conference packages.”
