Hawkstone Historic Park & Follies is a unique place. Created in the 18th Century by the Hill family (Sir Rowland and his son Richard), Hawkstone became one of the greatest historic parklands in Europe.

Ludlow Castle's 14th Century soldiers practiced archery here. Today owners from all over the country come to race their horses over the same green. A friendly racecourse, retaining its Edwardian character.

Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery

Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery is based in the former Victorian Music Hall and 13th Century Vaughan's Mansion. There are five main galleries (Roman, Medieval, Tudor, Stuart and The Shropshire Gallery) and a Special Exhibition Gallery to explore. These tell the story of Shrewsbury and Shropshire from pre-history to the modern day. Facilities include a cafe, Visitor Information Centre and Museum shop.
