Stoke Minster

The Minster Church of St Peter ad Vincula is a Saxon foundation, but was rebuilt in 1826. In the grounds is the upright of a carved stone preaching cross. It is the burial place of many of the potters who made Stoke-on-Trent famous, and contains memorials to Josiah Wedgwood and his wife Sarah abd the Spode family. In 2000 it was the venue for Sir Stanley Matthew's funeral.
